About Me
Darby started piano lessons at age 8, followed by lessons in violin, cello, and eventually voice at age 21. She played violin and cello in school orchestras in her teens, including a time for live TV at 16. She studied at Cedar Valley College in Lancaster at 22 where she received a certification in Recording Technology and learned music production through Pro-Tools and use of MIDI. She went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in Management, Communications, and Piano Studies from the University of North Texas in Denton at 26. With over 9 years of teaching experience in over 8 instruments (Piano, Violin, Guitar, Cello, Voice, Bass, Drums, Ukulele) Darby has used her skills to travel around the DFW metroplex as an independent contractor, working in-home, in-studio, and online lessons for 10 different companies. Darby enjoys Soul and RnB music, aviation, and attending music festivals and concerts.
